If you are serious about the
quality of your recordings then you need high-performance
microphone cables. I know first hand that it is too easy to
spend a considerable amount of money on microphones and
preamps and then figure you can get by with generic
microphone cables. I must have been an idiot to think the
cables sold in a bundle on musicians friend with the cheap
cable and terrible connectors would
last longer then a couple of months of hard use.
After recovering from the sticker shock
of the retail prices on the Mogami cables, I figured I
should just roll my own. Whad'ya know! I could make my own
for considerably less and utilize the new generation
of upgraded Neutrik connectors. The one thing that I could
point out after upgrading to these high quality cables was
the transient response when tracking drums. An A/B
comparison said it all; my drums had more punch using
the Neglex cables. The thicker wire, lower resistance,
better shield, noise rejection and gold contacts on the
Neutrik connectors may have something to do with it.
I am extremely confident in the
quality of these cables for a couple of reasons. For one,
the Mogami cable itself is very tough and reliable but
that's a given. Secondly, I solder these myself and I take
pride in ensuring reliable, insulated solder joints. Lastly and
the most important, the Neutrik connectors have an excellent
strain relief which clamps down onto the cable and takes
100% of the strain from the solder joints.
Since I
am so confident that these cables will stand up through
anything you can throw at them, I'm offering a lifetime
warranty. Any problems at all, any time in the future, just
send the cable back to me for free repair!
All cables
are currently rolled to order.
This helps to keep costs low
since I don't have to keep every length in stock. I
generally have enough cable and connectors at hand to fill
most orders within 3 business
days.
E-mail me to get a
estimated shipping time before you order, otherwise I will
contact you in the event that I am waiting on more supplies
to come in. |
